Kris Kringle: Something Naughty or Funny

We started our Kris Kringle early. Each of us pick a codename for ourselves and it was a character from Disney. Every after payday we decided to do the exchanging of gifts. No need to buy expensive stuff, basta pasok dun sa criteria na ibinigay. At para sa first day of Kris Kringle, something naughty or funny ang category na binigay. Sa totoo lang mahirap mag-isip ng naughty, or kung meron man ako naisip, nakakahiyang bumili, alam nyo na dalagang Filipina.. chos!

Laglagan na on Boys Night Out with Diana Meneses!

Everyday on my way home, I always listen to BNO on Magic 89.9. Pampawala ng bored sa traffic kasi uber nakakatawa mga topic nila everynight. Last thursday night was uber laugh trip 'coz Diana Meneses was their guest to promote the FHM October issue. And for those who don't know, Diana and Sam YG has a history before. Nachika sila dati di ba and they even both sat on "Don't lie to me" on Showbiz Central. It's really obvious that Sam was so stressed  while Diana do all the talking. Tony and Slick Rick was enjoying kasi nagkakalaglagan na talaga and uber inaasar nila si Sam. According to Diana kasi matagal na silang hindi nagkita ni Sam after ng "Iskul Bukol". She also told a story that she accidentally slap Sam on a shoot of the said sitcom and Sam said that it wasn't accidental. haha! Nadala lang daw si Diana sa feelings nya. 11 months din pala sila naging mag-on. Medyo obvious na nastress si Sam nung sinabi nyang "Sam is a very good actor". Madami din daw syang natutunang lesson from the heartaches that Sam gave her. Grabe si Diana, no holds barred. Kahit dinadaan nya sa humor yung mga binitawan nya, puro patama at panglaglag kay Sam. She even admitted that she was offended about the "tikim" issue and said that "kung tinikman nya ko, tinikman ko din sya!" and laughed. Pinagpapawisan na daw ng maigi si Sam according to Tony and Slick. Sam requested to play music muna to take a break but the other two hosts didn't comply to his request. Nagkakasarapan kasi ng pangaasar yung dalawa. Tinanong pa nung dalawa si Diana if she met the family of Sam and Diana answered that she and Sam's mom were always texting.

 Nakalimutan na nila yung pagpropromote ni Diana ng magazine. hehe! When they talked about the cover of the magazine, Tony asked kung ganun daw ba talaga matulog si Diana, kung nakaheels pa din. Diana immediately said "ask Sam!" and Sam said "gusto mo sagutin ko talaga yan?!" hahaha! bumabanat na din! In fairness naman daw with Diana, ang ganda daw ng photo and alam daw nyang walang photoshop na ginawa. He should know naman di ba? hehe!

I know everyone enjoyed the BNO's episode last thursday night! More of this episode pa, boys!

Who's strutting down in Penshoppe's Philippine Fashion Week?

oh oh Mario!

Penshoppe Official Facebook page just posted that Mario Maurer will be part of the Philippine Fashion Week!!! Yahooo! Hope this is true. I may not be able to attend the fan conference in PICC 'coz I haven't completed my stamps, but please, I hope I can attend the Philippine Fashion Week! Yay! I really wanna see him in person. Sana lang hindi pahirapan makakuha ng ticket for the show. Knowing Penshoppe, may promo yan tyak! Kung may promo sila ng padamihan ng Penshoppe items, sasali ako kasi I might win. hehe!

For Mario fanatics, this will be another chance for us! Go for Mario! yay!

Excited na din ako for the new billboard in Estrella Edsa, though I love Ed Westwick too, it'll be more fun walking there if I see Mario's billboard everyday!

Hating this time of the month!

One thing I really hate being a girl is having my monthly period. Is this the perks of being a woman?! Sa nyo na kasi I hate it! Okay lang naman na dumating sya pero sana naman wala ng kasamang pain. Bukod sa hindi ako makakilos ng maayos, uber iritable talaga ko! Topak moment talaga 'ko! Parang hindi na ko nasanay, every month ganito lagi ang eksena. Namimilipit ako dahil sa menstrual cramps! Sabi ni mama, nagmana daw ako sa kanya 'coz she had experience having dysmenorrhea during her days and mas malala pa.  I wonder if having dysmenorrhea can be acquired from genes. Ang dami naman ipapamana (sana boobies na lang.. hehe), bakit heto pa?!

To know more about dysmenorrhea (menstrual cramps), I researched some of the causes and treatment of it.

Here are some causes of it:

-due to urine muscle contractions

-genetic factors (so totoo talagang namamana to)

-abnormalities in arteris of uterus

-emotional stress (ayan, bawal ang emo)

-obessity or rapid weight loss

-excessive exercise

Some of the treatments and preventions:

- proper diet; they include eating plenty of whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, and avoiding saturated fats and commercial junk foods.

- reducing caffeine and alcohol.

- sexual activity. (sus! paano na?!) There have been reports that orgasm reduces the severity of menstrual cramps. (next, moving on..)

- applying heat is an effective way in reducing menstrual cramps.(effective nga to, yung mga hot compress or warm bath)

If ever you're experiencing severe pain, might visit a doctor to check it out.

Facebook Timeline: a new app for your profile

Have you tried the facebook timeline app? It is a new app for your  fb profile so that it would look like the picture above. It will show everything that has happen in your facebook life. It'll be like a scrapbook of your online life. That's my fb profile page, looks nice di ba?  As you've seen it's far different from our usual profile page. Here are some of the things you can see in your new page:

1. Cover Picture - you can put one of your favorite picture that will serve as you cover picture.

2. Profile Picture

3. You can view all your popular posts from each year.

4. Your personal info

5. You can see there your list of friends, albums, pages, and maps

6. You can view your recent activity.

Want to have one like this? I've just read it from techcrunch's website and here's the instructions:

1. Log into Facebook
2. Enable developer mode, if you haven’t already. To do this, type “developer” into the Facebook search box, click the first result (it should be an app made by Facebook with a few hundred thousand users), and add the app.
3. Jump into the developer app (if Facebook doesn’t put you there automatically, it should be in your left-hand tool bar)
4. Create a new app (don’t worry — you wont actually be submitting this for anyone else to see/use). Give your shiny new app any display name and namespace you see fit. Read through and agree to the Platform Privacy agreement. This is the step you need to be verified for.
5. Ensure you’re in your new app’s main settings screen. You should see your app’s name near the top of the page

You might want to try it. Go na! =) According to facebook, it will be available to everyone in the coming weeks. But for now it will be for your eyes only 'coz I think your friends can't view your timeline.

The Modern Family : funny series

Yay! I'm kinda addicted to this series. I stumbled upon this show when I was channel surfing, it was a habit of mine whenever I'm holding the remote..hehe! And from then on, I started to download the first season, and still downloading all the episodes from season 2 up to the present.

This series explores the everyday life of different modern families.  It is about three families from the Pritchett Clan, which shows how dysfunctional families can face the challenges that they encounter . Every episode were presented in a humorous manner but told with a heart. 

Modern Family swept the recent Emmy's Awards Night winning five awards — Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Julie Bowen; Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy for Ty Burrell (yey! for the Dunphy!) ; Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for Michael Spiller; Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for Steve Levitan and Jeffrey Richman and — the big gun — Outstanding Comedy Series. It is two consecutive years that they got the Outstanding Comedy Series. Group Hug! Sofia Vergara (Gloria) is my bet for next year for the outsanding actress for a comedy series. She was hilariously funny!

Beside chick flick series, this kind of series I enjoyed the most. Laugh trip kasi!

More new tv shows to tackle on my next posts. Wait lang kayo. =)

Saturday Weekend Ganap

I know it's kinda late for a weekend recap pero dahil blog ko 'to magmemega wento pa din ako. hehe! My Saturday started so early 'coz I had to go to work early to render ot. Tama ang nabasa nyo at wala akong sakit dahil nag-ot ako ng kusang loob. I rendered 4 hours lang naman kasi we had to leave early to attend Joy's house blessing. 

At dito nagsimula ang service road adventure namin. May mga mababait na nagsundo sa amin dito sa office para sabay-sabay na kami pumunta kina Joy. Eksena sa kotse, walang nakakaalam pano pumunta dun. Ok fine sundin ang instruction from text. Makalagpas ng Market-Market, tinahak namin ang service road sa C5 going South. Feeling ko (at naming lahat) nawawala na kami, kaya sabi ko kay Hugh magbaligtad na ng damit. hehe! Hugh called Joy for more instructions. Ewan ko kung lahat kami wala lang talaga kaming sense of direction, kasi hindi namin matunton yung lugar. May naha-highblood na pero natatawa lang ako sa nangyayari. Minsan masarap pala ang naliligaw. Matapos ang malupit na eksena sa phone, nakarating din kami mansyon ni joy. Sa wakas!

Nagsimula na ang ceremony at syempre ako ang dakilang cameraman. hehe! Picture-picture habang nagseservice ang bagong ordain na si Father. After ng i-bless ang buong bahay, sinimulan na ang kainan ng handa! Syempre, I'm on a diet kaya pancit malabon at shanghai lang ang kinain ko. Habang kumakain chika-chika kay father. Na-hot seat si father kung paano nya naisipang magpari. Ang showbiz answer ni father "may calling" daw sya. Naintriga lang ako paano kaya malalaman na may "calling" ka? Mimya nyan may calling pala ako magmadre hindi ko pa alam.. chos!

Matapos ang kainan, binuksan ang videoke pero wala naman gusto kumanta. Nakakatuwa lang kasi may mga movie selection yung machine. Ayun, napagtripan na magmovie time. "Apocalypto" na walang subtitle ang pinanood namin. Grabe pala yung movie na yun, sobrang brutal ang gilitan ng leeg at may gulat factor din  pala dun. In fairness, natapos sya kahit wala kaming naintindihan sa mga pinagsasabi nila. Nakakastress ang movie na yun at ang hirap magmove on! 

After ng movie, uwian na din pero kami ni chucky hindi pa kasi we decided na manood na ng "no other woman" para makamove on na din kami sa Apocalypto. Buti may mabait na maghahatid ulit hanggang Glorietta pero bago yun nagservice road adventure ulit kami. haha! Lumagpas kasi kami ng daan pa-Market Market at muntik ulit lumagpas ng pa-u-turn sa buting. Kung nagkataon sa Libis ang bagsak namin. 

Pagdating ng G4, check muna screentime ng movie. Pasok pa kami for 6:15 screentime. Dahil guaranteed seats sya kaunti na lang natirang vacant plus malapit pa sa screen No choice, inavail na din namin. Hit na hit ang movie na 'to kasi ilang weeks na pinipilahan pa din. Mukhang maraming nakakarelate o sadyang maraming nangangaliwa. hehe! The movie was great. Drama sya pero ang dami kong tawa because of the lines. Hindi na ko gagawa ng review ng movie kasi madami ng gumawa non, isa lang ang comment ko "Adopted ba yung anak ni Derek and Christine sa end ng movie?" hehe!

I really had fun that day. Bihira lang yung mga ganung adventure at makapanood ng two movies in two different places. Kelan kaya ang next adventure? =)

"No other Bekky"

One reason why "no other woman" was such a big hit to the viewers is because of the great one-liner of the characters. Ang mga lines naman kasi, nadeliver ng may conviction!  Ang tataray  ng mga lines, kaya madaming kinabog at nakarelate. Syempre, hindi papatalo ang mga kafederasyon sa pagbato ng mga taray lines tulad mga lines sa "no other woman". Kaya nagkaron na din ito ng spoof.. ang "no other bekky" syempre starring ang ating mga bekky friends. I saw these quotable quotes from  the tweets of @annecurtissmith. Nagtrendding  pa sa twitter ang #Nootherbekky, parang virus lang, ang bilis kumalat!

We purchased the anniversary promo of Enchanted Kingdom from ensogo.ph for only 300/person for the unlimited rides. Uber great deal right? Kaya our team availed the promo, it will serve as our team building na din. Last last Saturday, kahit na there's a typhoon coming, tuloy ang Enchated namin. Buti na lang nakisama ang weather... halos the whole day cloudy lang, umulan na lang nung bandang hapon.

 Pagdating, onting picture taking then we started riding the attractions. First stop, the bump car. Maaga pa kaya wala pa syadong pila.. kami na agad ang sunod.

Next, yung mini-roller coaster. Uber takot ako sumakay ng roller coaster pero kahiyaan na kaya go na lang ako. Palaunch pa lang yung coaster tumitili na kami ni Cindy. Kami lang ata yung sumisigaw dun. Yung iba deadma lang. hahaha!

Next, ang nakakamurang anchor's away. Puro mura ata lumabas sa bibig ko nung nakasakay kami dito. Si Maa'm Joy naman napapa"iloveyou!" hahaha! Promise hindi na ko uulit. Nanginig talaga tuhod ko dun.

After ng nakakamurang anchor's away, napadaan kami sa may space shuttle. Siguro kung hindi pa ko nakasakay agad ng anchor's away may tapang pa ko para sumakay dito.

Next, Rialto. Happy feet ang showing. Keri lang naman, mas enjoy kasi yung 4D.

Next is the flying fiesta. Nakakahilo lang sya. Patuyuan ang ride na 'to after mo sa Rio Grande.

Then, we started to get hungry. Stop muna ang rides kailangan lagyan ng laman ang tyan. Medyo mahal ang bilihin sa EK buti na lang may promo ang tender juicy. Buy 1 take 1 ang hotdog for 45php. Nagpicture-picture sa paligid habang hinihintay ang ibang teammates.

After eating, we headed to Rio Grande but it was still closed for maintenance check. Then we saw the horror house. There is an entrance fee for this, 50 php per head. 10 person per batch ang papasok sa horror house. Buti may kasama kaming lalake, sya nauna sa line. Feeling ko nga lumuwag na yung shirt nya paglabas namin.Hila-hila ko kasi yung shirt nya. Tilian lang kami sa loob pero ang totoo wala naman masyadong nakakatakot. Medyo creepy lang kasi un sound effects. 3 lang ata yung nanakot dun sa loob yung isa guide pa namin. Pinagpawisan lang kami sa loob at syempre laugh trip paglabas.

Balik ulit kami sa Rio Grande, start na din kami pumila. Long line na sa loob pero mabilis naman umandar kaya keri lang. Sakto 8 kami sa isang raft. Niluwagan ko yung seatbelt ko kasi nung tumapat kami sa falls tyak uber basa ako buti nakatayo ako agad. Nag-enjoy kami sa Rio Grande kasi binalik-balikan namin sya. Nung 2nd and 3rd time wala ng umiwas sa tubig. Basa na kung basa hanggang underwear. Napaghandaan naman namin kasi we bought spare clothes for this. Yun lang un red shoes ko uber basang sisiw.

We also tried the Discovery 4D. The movie excerpt was from Yogi Bear, it runs for about 15 mins. May fee din to na 60 php if you have the all rides wrist band. Ang cute ng movie, you can also feel the splash of the water from the movie. Next time sasama ko na mga pamangkin ko, tyak maeenjoy nila to.
After ng 4D, may nakita kaming noodles food stand. Grabe gutom na naman kami. hehe! I bought the pancit canton for 69 php and bottled water for 35. Ang mahal ng snack namin!

Then we headed back to Rio Grande. Nakadalawang ulit kami, at naaccomplish naman ang mission namin na mabasa ng bonggang bongga! As in soaking wet!
Inabot na din kami ng gabi and we decided not to wait for the fireworks display and just go home because it started to rain. And just before we leave, here are some of the pictures that I took.
